Long Bay is a thriving master-planned community alongside the legendary Long Bay Regional Park in the East Coast Bays just north of Auckland.
With stunning horizons and an incredible natural environment that includes parks, reserves, wetlands, the sea and a sparkling beach - fantastic experiences every day are only a stone's throw from your door.
As well as spectacular surroundings, Long Bay offers a well-established infrastructure, a range of sections, and high quality housing from New Zealand's leading home designers and builders.
Long Bay has been developed on 162 hectares of the naturally undulating coastal landscape of the North Shore's East Coast Bays. It offers a selection of sections in various sizes, many having been terraced to near level contour to make building easier.
The design of Long Bay is based on a community established around a central village. It has been master planned which means every aspect of its development has been considered carefully for suitability, sustainability and best possible outcome.Particular emphasis has also been placed on people's experience of the outstanding natural environment as an enhancement of everyday life. As such, Long Bay includes a significant number of reserves and parks distributed evenly throughout the development to provide a series of high quality community focal points. The road grid has also been aligned to provide view corridors to the sea and islands of the Hauraki Gulf.
Long Bay is located at the northern end of the East Coast Bays on Auckland's North Shore.
Only a 30 minute drive and 25km north of Auckland's CBD, 10km north-east of Albany, and 18km north of Takapuna, Long Bay is within easy reach of the main public transport hubs, shopping areas, and commercial centres of the North Shore.

The LBRA was formed to:
The Association is headed by a Board of Directors who all live locally and are elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting held in July each year.
The Association has its own private Facebook page for anyone who owns a property or lives in Long Bay and wants to connect with other neighbours or find out what’s happening in the area. You can also visit longbay.org.nz to keep up to date with information about the Association and what is happening locally.
Embracing the environment
The environment, and ways to experience it, plays an important part in the master plan concept for Long Bay.
An impressive 28 hectares have been reserved for community parks and protected heritage sites, with boardwalks and walking tracks to streams and wetlands providing plenty of opportunities for exploration, fun and adventure. What's more, every home is within 400metres of a green space, and you'll find that every route offers a view of the magnificent Hauraki Gulf.
Enhancing the landscape
Long Bay's incredible natural landscape is complemented by high quality structured planting, including a variety of native trees. A number of the short no-exit streets will be designed and built as shared spaces called “garden streets”. These will feature enhanced levels of planting and hard landscaping and will offer safe low speed high quality environments for the people living there.
Long Bay Regional Park is a magnificent natural environment and it's right beside the Long Bay development. One of Auckland's favourite escapes, it's renowned and treasured for its incredible scenery, wide-open green spaces, rolling hills, and safe sandy beach. Life at Long Bay means bracing walks, picnics, BBQs, a dip in the sea, exploration and adventure as often as you like.
